Shilla Kim and I have a podcast! And it’s on genocide.
Why and how is genocide still happening in the twenty-first century? This started as a phone call between us during the pandemic. But it turned into an adventure made of longer conversations with inspiring human rights advocates, historians, former UN experts and diplomats from across the globe.
The G-Word: A Podcast on Genocide starts off by setting the stage on the UN Convention on Genocide with historian Dirk Moses, following with other episodes on the Yazidi genocide with members of Yazda and the Free Yezidi Foundation, on South Sudan with former US and Canadian diplomats and authors Elizabeth Shackelford and Nicholas Coghlan, and on the Native American genocide in the USA with historian Jeffrey Ostler and members of the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women.

More episodes on Myanmar to come soon and others! Have a listen and spread the word:
